When does SSP 2020 Virtual Conference start?

Programming starts Wednesday, October 28. Available content includes:

    • Professional Development Sessions
    • Sponsor-developed Content
    • Scientific Sessions
    • Interactive Exhibitor Content
    • Networking Sessions
    • Workshops
    • Keynote & Plenary Sessions
    • ePosters
    • Awards
    • Much more!

How do I access all the online meeting content so I can successfully participate in this new virtual meeting format?

The first step is to see the orientation email that most registrants were sent on Wednesday, October 21st to confirm your registration (those who registered on or after October 21st will receive an email within a few short minutes after registering). This email contains important information for a successful meeting experience.

ALL of the LIVE conference content can be accessed either through our SSP 2020 Virtual Conference
    web app or mobile app

Using your desktop or laptop to participate in the conference? Bookmark the web app so that you can find it every time you need to! You will be asked to log in using your email address and registration number (found in your orientation email).
Take a moment now to familiarize yourself with the app. Start to build your schedule, view the ePosters, browse the list of attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors, and MUCH MORE!

Using your mobile phone and/or tablet to participate in the conference? Download the mobile app for another place to access all the live conference content. You will be asked to log in using your email address and registration number (found in your orientation email).

    Miss a LIVE session?
View the content on-demand at your convenience. Recorded sessions will be posted to the conference website six (6) hours after the conclusion of the session. Click here for direct access to the on-demand section of the website. You will need your SSP Username and password that you use to access content on the main SSP website.

If you have any trouble downloading the SSP mobile app or accessing and/or navigating inside the SSP 2020 Virtual Conference event section, contact us via the
Virtual Help Desk and we will help troubleshoot your issues.

  • Accessing Sessions and Meeting Content

How do I view this year’s ePosters?

All SSP 2020 Virtual Conference ePosters are viewable electronically through our new ePoster tool and you'll find a link to connect to ePosters directly in the web or mobile apps. Create an account and participate in discussion threads about individual posters and correspond with presenting authors.

How do I ask a Poster Presenter a question or begin a discussion?

Each ePoster has its own unique discussion thread. Viewers of each ePoster can view and contribute to the discussion thread by tapping on the chat icon when viewing the ePoster. You will be asked to sign in if you are not already signed in. If you do not have an account then you can sign in using one of the social media routes or by creating a new Learning Toolbox account.

Please note that this discussion thread is public and viewable by anyone who looks at the ePoster. The presenter can choose to turn off the discussion thread if they do not wish to allow discussion around the ePoster. This is done in the editor function. Please contact the Virtual Help Desk if you need assistance with this at any time.

How do I attend this year’s live and pre-recorded SSP 2020 Virtual Conference sessions during their scheduled times?

Use the program guide in the SSP 2020 Virtual Conference web or mobile app or browser-based apps to find the “Our Program” section. At the time of the session, click on the link next to “Access Session” to join the live Zoom event.

How do I access on-demand content and sessions recordings?

Access all this year’s programming on demand, except for networking sessions, which will not be recorded.

Recordings of each scheduled session will be posted within 6 hours of the completed session for on-demand viewing. On-demand content is housed in the LIVE meeting site that was linked in your orientation email.

Access to on-demand content will be available until November 8th, 2022.

Will any of the sessions have closed captioning?

At this time, no close captioning is planned for any of the live or on-demand recordings.

Some people are using customized SSP 2020 Virtual Conference virtual backgrounds. How do I get these?

You can find items like our special SSP Conference virtual backgrounds (with instructions on how to upload these to Zoom), printable SSP 2020 Virtual Conference “Do Not Disturb” signs, and tips for a successful virtual experience in our Attendee Resources section.
