The SSP is a place for sensory professionals around the world to interact, connect, and collaborate, a place to discover and disseminate the latest developments in sensory science, with the purpose of advancing our field. To fulfill this goal, the society must provide opportunities for its members to connect and develop their networks, to foster collaboration and educate. The Society must also provide opportunities to showcase “state of the art” research to let members explore novel methods and research trends in our field. As a member of the executive team, I would like to help create and encourage these connections between researchers and help research get to an audience. I look forward to joining the executive team of the Society to continue to serve our field.
