Winner of the Beverley Kroll Award for Outstanding Presentation that Develops or Expands a Method was Alissa Allen (top left) of Pennsylvania State University for her poster, “Bitterness of the non-nutritive sweetener Acesulfame Potassium varies with polymorphisms in TAS2R9, TAS2R31 and TAS2R38".

Winner of the Elaine Skinner Award for Outstanding Presentation of an Applied Topic was Cecile Bavay (right) of LUNAM Université for her poster, "The importance of methodological adaptation to get reliable results in sensory evaluation of product presenting biological variability: a case study on apple".
Winner of the Jean Caul Award for Outstanding Use of Scientific Principles in Research Design, Execution, and Interpretation was Bangde Li (bottom left) of Pennsylvania State University for his poster, “Optimization of coffee milk formulation using a mixture design”.
Winner of the General Award for Outstanding Presentation of Innovation was Nadia Byrnes (bottom center) of Pennsylvania State University for her poster, "Relationships between chemesthesis and personality factors".
Winner of SSP Founding Members Award for Outstanding Leadership through Sensory Research was Lydia J.R. Lawless (bottom right) of University of Arkansas for her poster, "Using Choice Exercises and Mixture Designs to Optimize Nutraceutical-rich Juice Based on Health-oriented and Sensory Attributes".
Registration for the 2012 conference has been re-opened, and extended to Monday, October 1st.
